Alberto Torres was born in Madrid, and is the son of a cabinetmaker from La Mancha. He studied audiovisual communication at the Complutense University of Madrid. When he was only 24 years old, he founded PortobelloStreet.es with his partner David González in 1995.

Trajectory

Alberto Torres' studio was born in his own showroom in Pozuelo de Alarcón in Madrid, from where he carries out works of all kinds such as an educational center, restaurants, rural houses, hotels, and of course homes. And not only in Spain, they have also worked on projects for the United States, Uruguay, Egypt, Dominican Republic and Equatorial Guinea.

Television

The interior design studio has produced, designed and presented the television program "Lo Vendo Lo Alquilo" for the American production company "AMC Networks" broadcast on the Decasa channel. Thanks to this opportunity, Alberto Torres' studio has found another way to connect with its clients and followers, transmitting the experience in interior design and decoration acquired during more than 25 years of experience.

"Lo Vendo Lo Alquilo" follows the complete renovation of a house. Each chapter shows the location of the property, the pros and cons of the distribution, the current state and after the renovation, as well as the details of the elaboration of the project and the work on site. All this taking into account the initial value of the property, the investment to be made and its future profit.
"Lo Vendo Lo Alquilo" is the result of Alberto Torres' participation in the television program "Constructor a la fuga", which was broadcast in prime time on Atresmedia's La Sexta in 2015. His intervention on national television meant "a qualitative leap in terms of recognition of a job and a brand, generating great notoriety", in the words of Alberto Torres, the visible face of the studio on television.

Casas de Autor is the latest and most ambitious project, a program in which an author's house is shown from beginning to end. CASAS DE AUTOR has been made for the production company of the president of Atlético de Madrid, Enrique Cerezo. This project shows from start to finish a new construction project with an avant-garde design and a completely new construction system.
