Bendita Locura Café, Madrid
A GASTROBAR IN THE SALAMANCA NEIGHBORHOOD WITH TWO FLOORS AND A NON-STOP PHILOSOPHY, INDUSTRIAL AIR AND COSMOPOLITAN ATMOSPHERE
A café with the soul of a lounge
Bendita Locura builds its identity through a deliberate mix of pieces, textures and objects. The interior brings together industrial references with an atmosphere close to that of a living room: wooden tables, different seats, books, photographs and lighting fixtures with a marked presence coexist on a base of light walls and dark flooring.
The leather-tone tufted sofa next to the window defines one of the most recognizable corners. Around it, low tables, plants and stacks of books introduce a domestic scale. In the dining room, the wooden chairs and aged-looking tabletops dialogue with large suspended metal lamps. The bar, with a dark front and wooden top, incorporates red stools that add a note of energy and allow another way of occupying the space.
The decoration of the walls participates in the experience of the establishment: frames of different sizes, graphics, clocks and objects coexist with the name of the café. The enclosures with dark profiles and glass provide an industrial language, while the adjustable sconces and lamps on the tables create points of attention. The set is based on the contrast between order and variety: a simple envelope accommodates pieces of character, and each area offers its own atmosphere within a shared, informal and urban identity.
